LATE DRAMA ON FINAL DAY...
Well, what a final day to this Nightmare Soccer season. The Muppets started the day 20 points clear - catchable but not probable... How did the day pan out?

I kept my nose on how the scores were going and the top two were heading for relatively similar scores as the second halves moved on. We still knew that goals were going to go in, but did Oli&Luke need maybe a red card or a missed penalty to close the gap?

60 minutes... Muppets 27, Oli&Luke 30... Muppets 17 points ahead.

70 minutes... the tide starting to turn? Burnley, Watford and Crystal Palace all conceding gained points for Oli. Muppets 26, Oli&Luke 38, the gap reduced to just 8 points.

The turnaround was complete on 78 minutes when Mark Noble's goal for West Ham gave Ben Foster another 2 points to put Oli&Luke ahead! Jonathan Andrews' boys go into the last 10 minutes a single point ahead.

90 minutes - all done? Oli&Luke lead the way by 2 points.

91 minutes - yellow card for Sean Morrison! Muppets gain 2 points and the Nightmare Soccer title is set to be shared for the first time ever.

94 minutes - would you believe it, a goal for Arsenal adds 2 points to Matthew Lowton and a point to Jack Cork, both in Oli&Luke's Nightmare 11. Oli&Luke have won it.

So after spending the entire season top until the final day, The Muppets are heartbroken with Oli&Luke 11 our Champions. Beaten by an Arsenal goal in the 94th minute - guess what, Muppets manager is an Arsenal fan!! Desperately unlucky Richard Hancy finishes 2nd overall for the second season running...

NIGHTMARE SOCCER - free fantasy football with a sense of humour
As football fans we’ve all experienced that feeling of exasperation when your star striker misses a sitter, puts a penalty past the post or just goes missing for 90 minutes. The sudden onset of desperation when your centre back nods the ball over your ‘keeper into his own net, and the deflation when your captain is sent off for a silly second yellow just when it looks like your team’s getting back into the match.

Well now you can turn these Nightmare events to your advantage by joining us at Nightmare Soccer, the most realistic fantasy football format there is. Click here for more...
