MATCH WEEK 6 - NOVICES TAKE THE WEEKLY CROWN
75 points for Nightmare Novices sees Colette Anthony's boys crowned Nightmare Team of the Week for Match Week 6, their second TotW award already this season. Consistent performance throughout the Squad, a decent Captain and a good Starting 11 selection made for Novices' success. Colette has four Brentford boys in her Squad who have perhaps earned less Nightmare points than she would have hoped to date - they scored 30 points between them this time round. Novices climb three places overall to 2nd.

Meanwhile our leaders Al's Army had a very poor week by their standards with 45 points and it means their lead at the top is cut from 77 points to 53. There's hope for the rest of us yet. Both had the same Captain (Rico Henry, 7 = 14) but while Novices' worst performer scored 2 points, Army had five score a point or less including Jordan Pickford with -1. Meanwhile the second top performer in Army's Nightmare Squad was Jack Harrison with 8 points, but he was left warming the bench.
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME
Clem Fandango are equal 2nd for the week with 70 points and stay 3rd overall. A good performance throughout the team from Matt Woodmansey's boys apart from Bukayo Saka, chosen as second sub, who came on and scored -3. Matt's third choice sub was Harvey Barnes (6 points) who didn't come on - if he'd switched those two around the Fandangos would be 9 points better off and 2nd. Matt chose goalkeeper Tim Krul as his Captain - decent choice with 7 points doubled up to 14. However if he'd chosen his reserve 'keeper instead Clem would be another 8 points better off. But surely no-one could have foreseen Alisson scoring 11 Nightmare points against Brentford.

My own Relegation Terrorists had a decent week at last - also equal 2nd with 70 and climbing five places to 10th. But oh what might have been... while glad my first choice sub did not come on (Neal Maupay, -2 points), the other three outfield subs (Djenepo, Moura, Adams) picked up 22 points between them. With better team selection I could be 15 points better off, top for the week and up as high as 7th.
JOKERS
Forfun played a Captain Joker which saw Kenny McLean made Captain. Not an amazing result for Tim Simpkins with his top scoring Nightmare picking up 7 points (doubled to 14), and it doesn't stop Forfun from slipping a couple of places.

Meanwhile the Subs Joker continues to be a tough one to pick when to play. I wish I had played mine for Relegation Terrorists, we'd be 20 points better off and three places further up the overall table. England neverbes did play a Subs Joker, and ultimately lost 3 points for it! With 10 outfield players appearing for Neverbes, all their non-keeper subs came into the team anyway. While Marc Snell's sub goalkeeper Jose Sa scored -3 points...

Knackers is another team who would have done well to pick this week for the Subs Joker. Liam Cooper, Kieran Tierney and Josh Sargent - all left warming the bench - scored 16 points. Saying that, all three selected defenders scored minus points so Cooper and Tierney should have been in the starting 11 anyway!
