MATCH WEEK 22: THE WEEK THAT SQUEEZED THE TOP 3
Well it was a strange Match Week in which we did have 10 games played, but with four teams missing out and four playing twice. The big winners were those who placed their trust in Brentford - beaten 4-1 by Southampton and 3-0 by Liverpool. Way out in front were Nightmare Novices - a squad of players that have never before played in the Premier League - with a ridiculous 191 points. Colette Anthony's boys have no less than eight Brentford players in their squad, and also chose to play a Subs Joker. Colette's captain Mads Sorensen did not play, but the other seven all did, scoring between 12 and 30 points. Vice captain Mads Roerslev took the armband, earning Novices 44 points - his score of 22 was only bettered by 'keeper Alvaro Fernandez with 30.

Novices' outrageous total sees them climb to 2nd ahead of Al's Army. But it's not all bad news for Army - they are second best for the week with 140. Alex Metzger made excellent use of a Captain Joker - Fernandez brought in 60 points. Meanwhile, with Mr Magoo scoring 75, Army are 65 points closer to top spot overall. The gap between Magoo and 2nd was 81 points before the Match Week began, now it's just 3 points to Novices, with Army then just 13 further back.

One other Nightmare team topped the previous best this season (120), with Cloughies Cloggers hitting 124. Mike Neep had two Brentford players - Christian Norgaard as captain earned Cloggers 42, Roerslev 22. It was a good all-round performance from Mike's boys with the likes of Teemu Pukki (18) and Michael Keane (17) also scoring high.
